For Children
At Educate Me Montessori, we believe the early years of a child’s life are the most influential. We view children as capable and valued members of our community with important voices, identities, and ideas that deserve to be shared and heard. We deeply respect and value each child’s uniqueness and believe that every child can succeed. We believe that diversity in ability, interests, and background shape each child as a complete and extraordinary individual.
For Learning
Our approach to learning is child-centred and focuses on supporting children’s complete social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and intellectual development. We proudly embrace the Montessori Methodology and the Early Years Learning Framework, recognising each child as a unique individual with innate curiosity and potential. Our approach to learning empowers children to follow their interests, learn by doing, and develop their understanding of themselves, others, and our world through hands-on experiences. Our goal is to ignite a love of learning and support children to develop the skills to become joyful, confident, and independent learners.
For Environment
We believe that children thrive when immersed in a thoughtfully prepared environment, where order, freedom of choice, and hands-on exploration intertwine. Our learning environments are fun, nurturing, secure, and supportive spaces that allow children to take risks, grow in confidence, and learn at their own pace. We actively encourage children to interact with all aspects of their indoor and outdoor learning environments, and seek to incorporate elements from children’s homes, cultural backgrounds, and our wider community to create a strong sense of belonging for each child.
For Educators
Our role as educators is to inspire, guide, and nurture children’s development, shaping their futures with knowledge, compassion, and encouragement. We work in partnership with families to deliver the best outcomes for children, fulfilling their needs in a loving, collaborative, and nurturing environment that has their best interests at heart. Respecting children’s choices, listening to their voices, and displaying patience, dedication, empathy, compassion, and kindness, are at the core of our principles and practices. We are guided by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and are committed to reflective practice and continuous improvement to deliver richer and more inclusive learning experiences to all children.
For Families
We view families as the most important influence in children’s lives. Our role as educators is to advocate for children, support families, and bridge the connection between our service and family life. We place great importance on cultivating positive and supportive partnerships between educators and families based on open communication, respect, and trust that allows us to nurture and grow together. We actively seek information and feedback from families on all aspects of our program and offer opportunities for involvement that embrace and celebrate diversity. Working collaboratively with families, we aim to support children in becoming confident and engaged learners, creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all.
